Short guideline for traveling Cox’s Bazar

Vast sea with soft bed of sand and rows of Zhaowban. If anyone goes to Cox's Bazar, he/she will want to visit the beach in the morning and afternoon. Beautiful sea beach with blue water and continuous roaring is the Cox’s Bazar. Cox’s Bazar is the longest sea beach of this beautiful world. This report is for those who want to visit with their families.

Maheshkhali, Kutubdia, Sonadia, Matar Bari, Shahpori iland and Saint Martin have made the Cox's Bazar more interesting and eye-catching for the tourist. Mata Muhuri, Bankkhali, Reju, Kuhliya and Naf river cross over this district. Tourism, forestry, fish, dry fish, snail and sand with silica made Cox’s Bazar as top most visiting spot for the tourist.

Alerts and other information before leaving the ocean:

Before going down in the sea, you must know the time of tide.  There are several signboards and flags of Yasir life guards at different places in the beach. It is safe to go down in the sea during tide. During this time tide is indicated, and green flag is hoisted in the beach of the sea. Anybody who may be lost in the water at the time of the dangerous low tide. So, at the time of low-tide red flag is hosted with written to refrain tourist from going down into the sea. Do not go into the deep water. Take help of Yasir Lifeguards engaged in the safety of tourists. inform them while go to the beach.

Beach Photography:

In the tourism season of Cox’s Bazar, nearly two hundred photographers took pictures of the tourists. There are arrangements to print these pictures and photographers give the tourists with negatives within hours. Each of the red-dressed photographers has their ID card. Several studios are involved in this work. According to the government rate, the 4R size of the photo cost taka 30. Signboards related to this are found in the beach. Before taking photographers service, it is good to see their ID card.

Speedboat:

There are several speedboats on the beach. They move from Main Beach to the Labani point. Rent one round is taka100. Apart from this there are open speedboat run lifeboat that cost taka 250 per person.

Beach Bikes:

There are beach moveable three wheeled bikes that can be used to move on the beach in Cox's Bazar Sea. Travelers has to pay taka fifty per person to for 1 km round trip.

 

Traveling Himchari and Inani Beach:

There are two interesting tourist spots within 12 to 22 kilometers from Cox's Bazar. One is Himchari and the other is Inani. Inani beach is one of the most attractive sea beaches that is just 22 km away from Cox's Bazar. And on the way to this beach, only 12 kilometers form Cox’s Bazar can be reached, and another tourist spot is Himchari. Hired jeep can be the means of travel of these tow attractive visiting spots for the tourist. If you start at morning, then you can come back Cox’s Bazar town before afternoon. You can rent jeep and cost will be taka 1500 to taka 2500. And if you go there by the local jeep, you have to spend taka 250 per second to visit this place.

Travel Fares:

Those who want to go to Cox's Bazar directly from Dhaka can go to Cox's Bazar from Dhaka to Chittagong. From Fakirapul, Arambagh, Motijheel and many places in from where the buses left directly to Cox's Bazar. The AC and non-AC, Deluxe and general buses will be charged 400-10000 taka for the direct transport to Cox’s Bazar. Sohag, Green Line, Eagle are the bus operators in this route. Besides, the train service is also available from Dhaka to Chittagong and from Chittagong bus service is available to travel directly to Cox’s Bazar. Everyday train and bus leaves from Dhaka's Kamalapur to Cox’s Bazar. However, it is good to keep ticket booking in advance.

 

Lodging system in Cox's Bazar:

Co/x's Bazar, the largest tourist center of Bangladesh. The world's largest and most spectacular beach, Cox's Bazar has many internationally renowned hotels, motels and resorts. Apart from this, many small and large resorts, hotels and boarding houses have been developed in government and private management. You have to pay taka 200-10000 for one night at Cox’s Bazar. Hotel Sigal room rent for one day is taka 2,200-7,000. Hotel Soibal is taka 1000-3000. Hotel Laboni 600-3000 taka. Heote Upal taka 1000-1500. Sea Crown is taka 200-3000. Zia guest house cost taka 300-2000. Hotel and motel rent is fixed in Cox’s Bazar. But it is good to book the room by phone and advance rent payment before starting travel to Cox’s Bazar. You can also rent the room by going directly to the hotel, motel and gust house.

Catering and restaurants:

Almost every residential hotel or motel has a restaurant or meal hotel nearby. Traveling to Cox's Bazar, tourist feel more attraction to the different sea fish menu. Especially the shrimp, papyalpa, laitya, the knife fish, the delicious dried fish fishes are attracted to the tourist attraction. Very often it is found that the price varies depending on food menu at different restaurant. However, the government has fixed some food price that assured food lovers. With the cost of taka 10-500 you can eat delicious food accordingly. But before eating, it is good to check the price of the selected food items. Keep the list of food and prices if necessary. Pay the bill in according with the list.

Information on St. Martin's Travel:

Blue of the sky and blue of the sea there are mixed together, the boat tied on the shore, the rows of aesthetic coconut trees and the soft touch of the gentle breeze of the waves, this is a small effort to describe the beauty of St. Martin's coral island of Bangladesh. St. Martin is the unique and unparalleled vacation center for sand, stone, coral or biodiversity related knowledge and travel thirst people with knowledge. Jellyfish, all kinds of marine fish, turtles and coral in the clear water created Saint Martin and its adjacent areas into the living lessons and mysterious to the traveling and knowledge thrust people around the world. It is the only coral island of Bangladesh. Sant Martin, a small island of sea bust, about 120 kilometers away from Cox's Bazar district. Just water and water all around. The area is 17 square kilometers. Trawler or launch takes two to quarter two hours to travel to Saint Martin from Teknaf. Its population is around six and a half thousand. Coconut, onion, chilli, tomato rice are the major agricultural crops of this island. And almost all of the inhabitant’s main occupation is fishing. But due to the development of the recent tourism industry, many people are living through restaurants, residential hotels or grocery shops. The people of St. Martin's island are very simple, their warm hospitality is the main attraction of tourists. There are low cost flooding and lodging facilities for the tourists.

Traveling to Saint Martin:

To go to St.Martin from anywhere in Bangladesh, you have to go to Cox's Bazar first. Firstly, from Cox's Bazar, it will reach Teknaf by jeep and from Teknaf C-trucks, ships or trawlers service are available to reach Saint Martin island. Several long-distance vehicles were left Dhaka for Cox's Bazar every day. The bus will cost AC 800 - 1200 and non-AC 400-700 taka. From Cox's Bazar you can go to Teknaf it will cost taka 30-50 per person by bus, tala 40-60 in the taxi or Tk 500-1000 (ten to eight seats) to go to Teknaf in the reserve microbus. These vehicles start from Cox's Bazar-Teknaf route every morning. Every morning you will find the C-truck, Keari Sindhad and Nafsi Hajaj to go to Saint Martin island. Along with these excellent ship service trawlers service is also available. You can select which one you like best. However, as a safe vessel, Cairi Sindhabad and Nafshi ships are reliable. It takes two hours to go from Teknaf to St Martin by these ships. On the other hand, these ships left St. Martin at 3pm every day to Teknaf. In the winter season the sea remains calm and the sea become furious during the summer-monsoon and movement become risky.

Where to eat:

Those who want to go to St. Martin for a short period of time, or those who want to return before the evening, they must move on the return ship before 3 pm. 3 hours is enough time to see the small island area roaming around. However, those who want to go to the main island and Chera island should plan for long time than that. There are many hotels and restaurants here for tourists' food. Some of them are the Carey Marjan restaurant, Beach Point, Hotel Alla daan market beach, Assam hotels, Sea beach, St. Martin's, Comilla restaurant, Real restaurant, Haji Selim Park, St. Martin's Tourist Park, Hotel Sadek etc.

 

Where to Stay:

There are quality hotels and cottages available to stay in St. Martin. There are at least five hundred persons capacity per night in several cottages including 16 hotels. Many homes also have accommodation for tourists. Rent will be 200-250 taka, but in the winter season there is more pressure of tourist and hotel owners increase the rent. Simana Peria (Crossing the border): There are 10 rooms with 4-person accommodation in each room. Room rent is 700-800 taka, tents are also available and for 4 persons cost taka 300. The cost of food is Tk 50-70 per person’s meal. Contact person: Jahangir

Blue-Marine Resort:

There are 18 double bedrooms with 34 guest rooms. 13Triple bedrooms, 6 bedrooms for 5 and 2 cottages. Rent double 1000-taka, triple 1200-taka, 6 Bed 1500-taka, 5 Bed Cottage 2500 taka.

Samudro Bilash (writer Humayun Ahmed's house): This 4 rooms house rent is worth 500-1000 taka.

Beach camp, Hotel Sagar Par and Riyadh guest house, hotel swapno bilash, srabon bilash, government management run marine park. Residential facilities are available in almost every home in the tourism season. It is possible select houses talking directly with the house owner.
